 After having lymph nodes removed due to a melanoma last year I have had discomfort with fluid building up in my whole leg. Not only did my leg feel heavy, swollen and very uncomfortable it was effecting my confidence making me feel like I was going to just have to struggle with it for the rest of my life! Being 40 years old and a busy mum to 3 children it was upsetting and stressful. Although I wear compression daily the fluid was just stuck in places. I needed to find something to try to help so I started looking into massage and that’s when I found I Am Therapies. After an initial call, followed with an assessment/treatment I was absolutely amazed at how my leg improved! I booked a course of treatment and I continue to be amazed that such a gentle treatment has had the best impact on not only my leg but also my mind as I am not feeling so upset about having to live with lymphoedema as this helps me manage it! I am so grateful that I found Nicola and now have the help I needed for the future. 

As Nicola is trained in several schools of MLD she has a great perspective on lymphatic drainage. Her MLD was key in my recovery from lymph sparing liposuction for lipoedema. She knew just how to deal with bruising and small areas of hardness melted away after her treatment. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone with lipoedema or lymphoedema for skilled and relaxing lymphatic drainage. 

I cannot recommend Nicola highly enough. I had quite a major operation (abdominal surgery) and my surgeon suggested MLD (manual lymphatic drainage) to help my recovery. I am SO glad I found Nicola. I started MLD with her during the 2nd week after the op and I have seen her twice a week since then (I'm on week 6 now). I get significant physical relief each time I see her and it really helps the swelling I have on my torso/sides/thighs. I feel much looser and less uncomfortable after each session. And it isn't just swelling - we've been working on an area where my skin has puckered and it's made SUCH a difference. It's also just a real relief to have someone so experienced track my progress and recovery regularly - having someone to ask questions to about what is normal, how my healing is looking, and to ask questions about anything that's niggling me. It helps that Nicola is absolutely lovely! I feel really supported by her during my recovery and am going to continue to see her for at least the next month or so to ensure I am fully recovered in the best way. 

June 2022 I went in for plastic surgery. The operation was smooth with no complications which meant recovery was pretty easy however I do put the speed and the ease of recovery down to Nicola.
I spoke to Nicola prior to the surgery to get my appointments booked in (my surgeon suggested every other day for the first 14 days. I absolutely would recommend this, when having plastic surgery - you can’t put a price on making yourself more comfortable) which Nicola was extremely accommodating for. She was flexible on times & booked me in at ease.
She also recommended a massage prior to the operation which again, I would recommend as it removed out any anxieties of what to be expected after surgery when you’re already slightly vulnerable.
Nicola has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to her industry, along the way I have learnt a lot more about my body and other issues I have regarding my lymphatic system which we are now working on
During my appointments in the recommended 14 days period where I was seeing Nic every other day I was always surprised with how great it would feel after, every massaged seemed to excel my recovery tenfold.
I must also mention Nicola is professional, attentive, friendly & extremely understanding of circumstances.

I have had two Lymphatic Detox Facials from Nicola and highly recommend this wonderful treatment. It is so relaxing. The skincare products smell lovely. I noticed that the fine lines around my eyes completely disappeared a couple of hours after the facial. The next day, my skin felt hydrated and very soft. I intend to treat myself to these facials on a monthly basis. Thank you Nicola.

This is the first time I have tried one of the Lymphatic detox facials and it was amazing. After a hectic week of traveling and late nights my face felt very puffy. I actually felt the fluid draining at the back of my throat during the facial.Its completely different from all other treatments. My skin felt amazing and I have been complemented how well and rested I look. Nicola is very knowledgeable and has a great understating of the lymph anatomy and how you can get the best benefits.
