Lymph Drainage Massage

Lymphoedema can be caused by a sluggish or damaged lymphatic and/or venous system.  This can be a problem from birth (Primary) that can manifest at any time in your life or it can be post surgery, where lymph nodes are damaged or removed.  This often happens post cancer.   The treatment is detailed below under MLD/DLT.

MLD helps to speed healing and reduce swelling pre and post any surgery and post any fracture, ligament tear or sprain. This helps people to recover more quickly and regain their mobility faster.

Post plastic surgery, it will also help prevent fibrosis (hardening of the tissues).

MLD helps to remove fluid from the legs and keeps the lymphatics moving, which is particularly important in the case of lipoedema.
